What is your ‘dream’ QE2 configuration?

Whilst up late with my youngest, who is ill, I had a slightly silly idea for a topic.

QE2 was a ‘rubber’ ship throughout her service life, changing her look and configuration every few years throughout her long service life. Features, decks, paint schemes came and went between different sailings.

So, if you could create a QE2 with any combination of features from over her long life, what would you end up with? Reality and financial considerations be damned.

Personally, I’d like the ‘midnight blue’ hull colour from the 90s, the thicker funnel from after the diesel conversion, with an interior design broadly reflective of 2008 but with her general deck configuration as-built in 1969. (I’m aware how those two conflict!) The return of the Lookout Bar is an essential for me. After sailing on QM2 and spending hour upon hour in the gorgeous forwarding facing Commodore Club, I couldn’t go back!
