Great video, thanks for posting.
My wife worked at Port Everglades for a long time and she got a kick out of seeing how un-developed it was at that time.
Even the Burt and Jacks restaurant was not there yet.

Thats where all the Cunard house flags came from when the QE2 arrived and left PE. Quite a few staff made friends with the residents of those blocks of apartments   they passed on arriving and departing.
There were several marriages as well.
 Southampton couldnt understand why a ship in the US wanted all these HUGE house flags!
