Title: Coincidence, Me and Queen Elizabeth in Istanbul
Post by: Tom Kirrage on Jul 11, 2014, 12:33 PM
Hello Everyone

I thought I would share something really interesting with you all this morning.
Last week I was away in Istanbul and I was in the famous Blue Mosque and my brother suddenly pointed out to me a person carrying an official Cunard Line gift shop bag. I then suddenly saw a whole load more people carrying the same bags, so it obviously meant that one of our legendary ships was in port. I went straight onto the Marine Traffic website to find out and it turned out to be the Queen Elizabeth. What a coincidence

I went on a harbour tour up the Bosphorus River and went up beside her, almost. I thought I would share some of the photos I took of her in port and as she was departing Istanbul and heading out towards Volos.

Also just as an extra, if anyone is going to be onboard the Queen Victoria on Wednesday 06th August, I am going to be onboard for a few hours, whilst she is in the port of Gibraltar.

Look Forward to hearing replies.

Best Wishes

TOM

Great photos tom, and a great coincidence!  Not sure I'd call either of the Vista Queens legendary liners though... there's really nothing remarkable about them at all...
