Michael, this is slightly off topic but do you have any pictures of the model presented to the Queen?

I was asking about the model that was shown to the Queen for her approval. (?) I may be wrong so please don't take me word for word.

Since the final funnel design had not been decided this is what may have been presented to The Queen by the Cunard Chairman Sir Basil Smallpeice and the James Gardner who was responsible for the exterior of the ship

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was it not the original plan to show two funnels to The Queen, but some misfortune happened to the traditional funnel and the funnel that was put on QE2 was the only thing they had to show

Edit: Sorry for going even more off topic

These are great photos of the original models, Michael. What was the difference between the 1966 model and the 1967 model?  And, do you know where they lived, journeyed and ended up?

Would like to know the answer to Scott E's questions as well as what were the decisions that changed the Sports Deck arrangement between the 1967 model and the final product.

Michael,

The photos are amazing, thanks so much for posting.

Do either of these models still exist I wonder?
