Jack Marland, Chief Engineer - RIP
« on: Sep 28, 2017, 09:57 PM »
Sadly, I must advise that Jack Marland, former QE2 Chief Engineer, has crost the bar.

He slipped away peacefully during the night: 27 September.

Condolences to his family. He was a much liked man and a good shipmate.

I served with Jack for many years. He left for health issues then came back as a consultant. Good guy.
Edna his wife is/was a great person.

Yes, he passed after a long illness.

Not many of us left from the old steam days now Rod.

No there are not. When I talk to Martin Kay at Christmas, one of the first things is:  "Who has gone?"
