The theme for the May competition "QE2 in Southampton Waters or the Solent" was chosen by Stowaway 2K the winner of the February competition. As you can see this has been a really interesting theme generating lots of photos.

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures, which we really appreciate, and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourites.

Voting is easy but you need to be a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your three favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the pictures below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery, where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form, plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size.

Go to the Gallery Album QE2 .

The prize this month is the book"Cunard's Three Queens" by William H Miller, donated by Isabelle Prondzynski.

Alternatively, June Ingram is offering a jigsaw of the prizewinning picture

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 July 2017, giving all time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

As always the choice is yours enjoy!

Well... that's a harder selection to pick from than some have been, but my votes are now in. :)

Only 12 people have voted so far, but as the pictures are so good, it may be that many more people are trying to decide, which pictures are their favourite three, before voting.

  • Beautiful, elegant QE2 - forever Queen of the Seas
I just voted and what a very difficult job to choose only three photos.  All of the photos are so very good but also very poignant !

15 members have now voted.  Please vote if you have not already done so.  I like to look at the photos several times during the month and then vote a bit later in the month.

 :)
QE2 - the ship for all of time, a ship of timeless beauty !
