Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

The theme of the September competition "QE2's beautiful bow" was chosen by Elphaba, the winner of the June competition.  The famous bow that sailed over 6 million miles has been the subject of many photos and our members have not disappointed with the selection of photos submitted for the competition.

Each member has 3 votes (but please do not vote for your own photo). Voting is open to all members regardless of whether or not you submitted a photo.  Choose up to three photos you want to vote for, noting photo details, then tick the relevant boxes on the voting poll.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below but you can also view the photos submitted by members in the Gallery.   You will probably get a better view of the photos in the Gallery where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form and you can then click on the pictures shown, and click again, to see them in large size.

Click on the Gallery button from the forum or click on this link:
https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=102

You will not see the results until the voting has closed on 31 October 2013   The winner will be announced on 1 November BST to allow for other time zones to catch up with the voting deadline.

I know our hearts and minds are elsewhere -- with the situation of QE2 as every day passes and uncertainty lingers.

However, while we wait... these pictures recall better days and show QE2's beautiful bow from the time it was first created to the year she left Cunard service.

Appreciate the photographs and those who took them, and give them your vote! So far, very few members have voted, but I do believe that these pictures deserve our attention! And if you have never yet voted, do give it a try -- it's easy  :D .

Just voted... impossibly difficult!!!  I think I'd vote for about 10 of them, or more, if allowed!

;De  Hi , I've also just voted for the September competition. With all of us waiting to hear exactly what's officially going to happen to our beloved Q E 2, I've found it very refreshing to look back at all the photo's entered for the September competition. Great memories for many of us who were very privileged to of had the opertunity to sail with her.

Having just returned from a cruise I have just voted and have to say that it was a difficult choice.

My Dad worked in John Brown's and said that QE2's bow was the most beautiful of all the ships that had been built in the shipyard.  The lines of her bow are beautiful - a big thank-you to all who have contributed these wonderful photos that remind us of the beauty of QE2  :)

23 members have voted so far but we could do with some more people voting.   :)

One photo is is well in the lead at the moment, but still a few days left to vote, so who knows if that photo will be the winner or not.  It is your choice so if you have not voted yet take time to site down with your favourite beverage and vote now!  ;D
