Superb photos.

QE2 looks so modern, so sleek (to my eyes), the cars are a stark contrast!!

Yes the cars are great too! It's nice to see the flypast aswell. The flypast was replicated on the original 1967 Helena Barynina Hernmarck tapestry that hung on the E stairway
Does anyone know the squadron/aircraft type?-looks too many (and they are grey!) for the Red Arrows who I think flew Foland Gnats possibly then? They could be Blackburn Buccaneers (Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm?)

I believe the flypast was by aircraft from 736 Naval Air Squadron based at Lossiemouth Kev.  Difficult to id the aircraft type from the photo but they could be Buccanneers as you suggest or Scimitars possibly.

Thanks Andy-I reckon Buccaneers the more I look at the photo. This by coincidence would create a further link with QE2 as both served in the Falklands!(Buccaneers used for laser guidance I believe)

Having taken another look, I would tend to agree with you Kev.

Cheers Andy!
736 Squadron-how appropriate for Hull number 736 !   Wonder if that was deliberate?

How on earth do you find all these photographs? I'm sure that there are a lot out there but having the patience to search for them would be way beyond me. Thank you for finding them :)
