Hi Louis
What is the average wage on shore in the UAE for similar skills (Plumber Electrician Painters) , its so easy to compare with wages in the UK

Hi they get paid somewhere between 500-700 pounds a month.12 hour daily plus overtime and free accomodation, here the accomodation in Port Rashid or Dubai Dry Docks (with swimming pool) are very good. The poor souls that work for normal outside companies mostly live in horrible conditions.

Amazing! Looks like this was an arrival and all the goats had meanwhile been consumed for a major Muslim festival...

In Kenya for instance, goats are to Muslims for major festivals what turkeys are to Christians in the UK for Christmas... but in Kenya, Christians also love goats for Christmas above any other festive food! Taste it, the meat is very good indeed (if you are a meat eater)...
