Interesting to see the lettering of Port Vila on her stern positioned like that. With the port holes located as they are it makes it look like the name is in inverted commas, i.e. "Port Vila" suggesting that it's temporary. Does she know something we don't?!  Wink

I don't think it's temporary, just that Nakheel doesn't have the money to remove the steel letters of "SOUTHAMPTON" and weld new ones on for "PORT VILA".  Paint is cheap...

I don't think it's temporary, just that Nakheel doesn't have the money to remove the steel letters of "SOUTHAMPTON" and weld new ones on for "PORT VILA".  Paint is cheap...

... or that Nakheel respects the history and heritage of QE2.

While complying with the legal requirement of showing the new port of registry, "Southampton" remains there in clear and visible lettering for those who want to see her long and illustrious Southampton-based career respected.

By doing this, both Nakheel and everyone else can have it both ways  Grin ...
