Well, I really don't know where to put this link!  There's so much on it it could fit into both here and the off topics area.

Well, to save you hours of trying to find them ( and believe me, you will get very distracted in the process! ), there are three excellent pictures of QE2 in gallery 7, a short scroll down from the top.

Fantastic pictures, and I have since found a fair few more by simply Googling QE2 postcards!

That one of the QE2 / Concorde painting at New York, Myles, has a resonance with me - G-BOAF was the one we flew home on from JFK at the end of our honeymoon ( QE2 to Civitavecchia, Alitalia from FCO to JFK rather than the originally planned QE2 westbound TA )

I agree with you, Myles!
Can't understand it...  Wink
Concorde is only 201' 4 " - or 61.66m in length
Whereas QE2 is 963' - or 293.52m long!

how does everyone get a nice  big picture...mine comes out minute....took me nearly a year to get it done  ..... but they are so small and you can hardly see it.  I just put all my postcards in the small Qe2 album yesterday..its a trip around the world looking at all the ports she called at  she was always a superstar and drew the crowds...now its just one of hundreds of ships calling in to a train or bus station no excitement....no magic.

any hints re making my piccy a wee bit bigger would be most appreciated!

Here are the instructions, Cruise_Princess :

http://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php/topic,425.0.html

What you are asking about, is described as Method 2 by Rob. For this, you need to have your photos already uploaded somewhere, such as flickr -- then, you can post larger versions here, as they do not take up bandwidth in the Forum.

If you send me a PM, I could even help you to do the embedding  Cheesy .

There's something very odd about the perspective in that last photo - she appears to be sinking by the stern!

Rob the whole card doesnt look right, its measures 21 x 11 cms the hull looks to be very clean at the bow, no sign of any anchors. Might it be one of the images used for the general postcards but slightly "doctored" or even is it one that was flipped?

Er - She hasn't got any anchor - or nostrils and she's still got her tenders hanging over the edge
(No offence meant here, you understand!)

Love the top photo.  The speed stripe really enhanced her look.
