A lot of photos has been posted here over the last months and i am sure a lot more will be posted in the days to come. The reason for this topic is to post your best photo of the QE2 you ever took.
Here is mine taken in Skarsvag, Norway 1995, photo taken through the window of the tender.

This a favourite of mine - on July 12th 2008 my wife & I had walked from the centre of town down past the RNZAF and Gunners War Memorials on the hillside, halfway between the main street of Malta and the docks. As we came down the hill side road I looked back over the wall and this was the view. Instantly snapped it, and it is now blown up as a print on a wall at home - 30" long by about 18 " deep. Our cabin (one of the 3rd officer's cabins) was just forward of the orange lifeboat, port side fwd.

Oh, I just can not decide. Black with white or grey with white?

She looks beautiful. If she was at a side angle with the sunset thats how she would have looked when I saw her.

I can't say this is my best photo of QE2, but it's certainly one of my favorites.
QE2 16 October 2008
For me it's evocative of the end of an era, excuse what is now a cliche. Not the end of the QE2 era, but the end of the era of great ocean liners calling on New York's Hudson, or North River.
Other ships will tie up at these piers, but none of them will be an Atlantic Greyhound. Well, unless QM2 makes a return to the Hudson...

S2k,
That photo is superb! Early evening, so all the local lemmings are stuck in their tin cans on the freeways, shuffling along at 5 knots if they're lucky, with all the day's worries churning around in their heads.
Meanwhile, all the lucky passengers on the QE2 have just unpacked their bags, headed for the sailaway with a drink in their hand, and can forget about everything except "What am I going to eat tonight", while the ship winds itself up to a speed greater than the cars can achieve in their nightly traffic jam.
Cheers

Absolutely SUPERB Kyle, and you're ABSOLUTELY right. The end of an era, captured in one magnificent photo. Well done!

Thank you for the nice words on my photo
It was taken early in the AM, as QE2 made her final arrival in NYC
A friend of mine and I, another member here, went downtown to greet QE2 as she made her way into the river, stood on the end of a pier yelling and waving greetings to the great ship and our friends on board, and then raced her by taxi up to the passenger ship terminal to watch her berth.

I unfortunately missed her arrival, and Kyle, at the pier that morning, but this must have been taken not too long afterwards. I have this one framed, sitting on my bureau at home and look at it every morning.

Hi Ken
By then I was probably already on the top of the adjacent pier with a group of people getting these
