The QE2 Story : Keeping the Legend Alive

Bookmark and Share

This is the story of "the greatest ship the world has ever known", told through the stories and memories of the people who travelled on her, worked on her, admired her from afar or helped to build and maintain her.

This site is run by Rob Lightbody and friends, and is not connected with Nakheel, Cunard or any other company or organisation.  The domain name was registered by Rob in February 2008.

The QE2 Story Forum

The discussion forum is the heart of this site.  Over 630 enthusiasts, fans, historians, researchers, experts and 'celebrities' from the world of the QE2 contribute together in discovering and remembering the Story of the QE2.  We also host occasional get-togethers to share our QE2 stories in person.

Our QE2 'Virtual Webcam' of Archived Images

The QE2's BridgeCam is back! I have an ENORMOUS collection of QE2's webcam images going back years.  I used it as my homepage for a long time, and snapped all the best ones.  When something interesting was happening, I snapped every single image (automatically) and have kept them all - hundreds of thousands of the things...  Here's just some of them.  (Image changes with each page refresh).  You are welcome to incorporate it into your own website, please get in touch for instructions.

The QE2 Shop

In conjunction with Amazon (UK only just now) we have carefully put together a comprehensive QE2 shop featuring all the best QE2 books, DVDs etc. - click here to view it.
